Hours of operation

We are open every Monday from 3-6 p.m. for casual play and questions; every Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. for group classes, and 7-10 p.m. for tournaments; every Wednesday from 1:30-6 p.m. for group classes; and Every Thursday from 4-6 p.m. for group classes. On Fridays we have an instructor on site for private lessons from around 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. We normally hold events almost every Saturday but start times and duration vary, so check the event calendar.

Children’s scholastic chess tournament.

Age: 17 and under.

Entry Fee: is $10.

Time control: 15 minutes for each side, i.e. G/15.

Format: The event is a 4 round Swiss.

Rounds: Round 1 begins at 11 a.m.

Prizes: 1st place, $20; 2nd place, $10; and 3rd place, $5.

Qualifying for the Finals: Players qualify for season finals each three months by accumulating five points total throughout the regular season.

Ratings: United States Chess Federation Quick rated event.

Format: 5-Round Swiss. Every third Saturday except when it conflicts with Junior Joust and then its on the 3rd Sunday.

Time Control: G/25.

Registration: 10:30 a.m.

Rounds: Round 1 starts at 11:00 a.m.  Lunch will begin as your second round finishes and last until 1:30 p.m. which is the start of round 3.

Entry Fee: $15.

Prizes: 1st Place overall will receive 50 percent of the entry fees.  Under 1600 rated highest scoring player will receive a prize of 30 percent of the entry fees.  Prize category based on USCF quick rating.

Ratings: USCF Quick rated event.

Prizes: $30 and trophy for 1st, $20 and medal for 2nd, $10 and medal for 3rd.
